HP CEO Mark Hurd’s pay packet last year was worth $42.5 million

HP CEO Mark Hurd's pay packet last year was worth $42.5 million including a $1.45 million salary and an $18.6 million performance-based cash bonus covering three highly profitable years. Since he arrived in 2005 and before the economic Armageddon, HP sales were up $30 billion and profits tripled. Its stock at the end of its fiscal year in October was down 25%. Oh, by the way, Richard Hackborn, the guy who put HP printers on the map, is going to step down from the HP board come re-election time in March. He was the only ex-HP employee on the board.
