GolTV Scores Exclusive Television Rights to Brazilian Soccer Leagues

The Prestigious Campeonato Brasileiro and Campeonato Paulista Televised Only on GolTV in the United States and Canada; Matches to Start Airing Jan. 31

MIAMI, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- GolTV, the only live bilingual channel delivering 24/7 soccer, announced today that it has scored the exclusive U.S. and Canada broadcast rights to Brazil's most prominent soccer league, Campeonato Brasileiro. Starting in April, GolTV viewers will be able to enjoy live coverage of the best Brazilian soccer teams as they begin their quest for the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A league title.

The 2009 season of the Campeonato Brasileiro will provide soccer fans in North America a great opportunity to see premier international talents like Rogerio Ceni, Ze Roberto, Andres D'Alessandro, Gustavo Nery, Amoroso and other players as they star in one of the most competitive soccer leagues in the world. Twenty teams annually vie for the title that in recent years, has been dominated by Sao Paulo.

Many of the country's top soccer stars will take part in this year's competition, including world-famous striker Ronaldo as makes his debut with Corinthians.
