The dynamic CVD31XT Cable eMTA is future-proof with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and is also backwards compatible with DOCSIS 2.0, DOCSIS 1.1 and DOCSIS 1.0. It supports remote management and provisioning, simple plug-in installation, and post-installation manageability with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). In addition, it offers both USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet ports so users can take full advantage of their high-speed WAN connections for enjoying the broadest spectrum of multimedia, including IP telephony, instant high-speed Web access, file sharing, multimedia conferencing, video streaming and download, high performance gaming, and MP3 downloading. The CVD31XT also comes equipped with a back-up battery to maintain service during power failures.
