America's largest drugstore chain offers shoppers a head start on holiday savings starting November 23

WOONSOCKET, R.I., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- CVS/pharmacy, America's largest retail pharmacy, today unveiled a week-long holiday promotion offering shoppers a wide variety of doorbuster deals before "Black Friday" on high-quality gifts, affordable electronics, seasonal decor items and daily essentials. From Sunday, November 23 through Saturday, November 29, CVS/pharmacy customers can use their ExtraCare cards to take advantage of extra savings and rewards on gifts and holiday-related purchases, as well as everyday needs.

Deep discounts from November 23 - 29

As part of the week-long promotion, the "GPS Navigation System for Dummies," normally $129.99, will cost only $89.99 plus ExtraCare cardholders will receive $10 back in instant Extra Bucks; this equates to $50 in savings. Coby and TDE Digital Photo Frames will be marked down to $79.99 with an additional $20 rewarded in instant Extra Bucks for buyers. The popular Kodak EasyShare Camera is available for $89.99 plus cardholders will receive $20 in instant Extra Bucks. Craig 2G MP3 players are also available for only $24.99 with $5 rewarded back in instant Extra Bucks, meaning that shoppers will ultimately spend only $19.99 for the gift.

CVS/pharmacy shoppers can also select from a variety of gift options that are essentially available for under $10 after instant Extra Bucks that include: Rival crock pots, Oster rice cookers, Black and Decker coffee makers, air popcorn machines, electric griddles, portable CD players, designer fragrances, luxury hot/cold spa sets and other personal pampering items.

Throughout the entire holiday season, shoppers can choose from an assortment of toys, games, electronics, and beauty items as well as a wide selection of gourmet chocolates and candies. For consumers looking to personalize gifts with photos, all orders placed on CVSPhotoCenter.com or at the photo kiosk by December 11 are guaranteed to arrive prior to Christmas Day and in-store photo books, calendars and collages are available for same day service. Each week, CVS/pharmacy store circulars will present additional holiday promotions and opportunities for customers to take advantage of instant Extra Bucks deals.

With more than 6,300 locations in 40 states and the District of Columbia, CVS/pharmacy is a convenient destination to pick up holiday gifts. Shoppers can skip the mall traffic and select from 220 gift card options from popular retailers such as Nordstrom, Gap, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, restaurants and spas.

For those shopping online for bargains, the recently re-launched CVS.com now includes an online Holiday Center. The CVS.com Holiday Center features easy-to-navigate gift ideas and recommendations for everyone on the list. CVS.com will also offer Black Friday promotions for gifts like the Homedics Shiatsu Massager and the Kodak Digital Camera for $89.99 each, both originally $99.99.

Now through December 6, all CVS.com shoppers who register their ExtraCare cards online will receive "Triple Extra Bucks" for dollars spent on all non-pharmacy merchandise. Free shipping is available for all non-pharmacy orders of $49 or more.
