Apprenda, the leader in enterprise private platform-as-a-service, has added Wayne Boomer as Vice President of Finance and Operations to its executive team reporting to CEO Sinclair Schuller. Boomer will work out of the Clifton Park, N.Y. office.
Recently, Wayne was the CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance for On2 Technologies, a publicly traded software company that designed video codec technology, acquired by Google in 2010. On2 was the first publicly traded company Google had acquired. Boomer held an integral team role through the acquisition where On2 obtained a 6.5x multiple of revenue increase for the purchase of IP.
“Wayne will be instrumental in Apprenda’s strategic operations, increased funding and managing the company’s profit stream for our enterprise customers,” said Sinclair Schuller, CEO of Apprenda. “His background with companies like Google, On2, Inmedius and MapInfo provide a wide range of experience perfect for Apprenda’s accelerated growth.”
During a five year tenure as CFO and VP of Finance at Inmedius, an international software and services company in Pittsburgh, Boomer was a central part of the executive team responsible for tripling revenue, obtaining yearly growth, and achieving a +20 percent five-year compound annual growth rate. Boeing acquired Inmedius in 2012.
As Finance and Operations Director of MapInfo in the UK, Boomer led EMEA G&A operations for the company. Boomer was a part of MapInfo’s accelerated growth team in which the EMEA operations went from $13 million to $37 million, and simultaneously grew a headcount of 40 people in two countries to over 160 people in six countries. Pitney Bowes acquired MapInfo in 2007. In addition to his activities abroad, Wayne is also a registered CPA, and was a senior associate for a big four firm.
