Time Warner Cable SportsNet’s and Time Warner Cable Deportes’ fully-enabled, on-the-go capabilities are now available to both Time Warner Cable and DIRECTV subscribers. Time Warner Cable customers have had access to these features since the networks’ launch on October 1, and now they have officially launched on DIRECTV. All network programming, including live Los Angeles Lakers, LA Galaxy and Los Angeles Sparks games, can be watched both in-the-home and on-the-go, making it a true TV Everywhere experience.
“Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes are using the latest technology for on-the-go viewing because it is critically important to sports fans to be connected to their teams 24/7,” said Mark Shuken, Senior Vice President and General Manager, TWC Sports Regional Networks. “Our mobile viewing experience helps Time Warner Cable and DIRECTV subscribers be close to their teams wherever they go.”
Time Warner Cable and DIRECTV subscribers in the networks’ home territory can watch Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes not just on their televisions but also on the networks’ websites (www.twcsportsnet.com and www.twcdeportes.com) and on iOS and Android tablet and mobile devices via the mobile applications titled “TWC SportsNet” and “TWC Deportes.” The apps are available in the iTunes store and on Google Play and feature 24/7 live network programming and full programming schedules.
Fans can also join the Lakers live chat on www.twcsportsnet.com and www.twcdeportes.com during live Lakers games. By visiting the “LIVE” or “EN VIVO” pages on the websites and clicking the ‘launch chat’ or ‘chatea ahora’ button, all fans can access the chat application.
Customers who subscribe to a Time Warner Cable or DIRECTV package that carries Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes are able to watch the networks on computers or mobile devices after they log in with their password to verify their subscription. Once it’s verified that a customer’s subscription includes Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes, they are connected to the Lakers, Galaxy and Sparks no matter where they are in the networks’ home territory. Access to on-the-go viewing is determined by television provider and is limited by geographic location in accordance with the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) and Major League Soccer’s (MLS) broadcast territories and other rules.
Time Warner Cable customers may sign in and authenticate their video subscriptions with their Time Warner Cable username and password. They are also able to watch the networks on the TWC TV portal on any computer or via the TWC TV app on any iOS or Android tablet or mobile device in or out of their home. DIRECTV customers can log on to www.twcsportsnet.com or www.twcdeportes.com and click on the "Live" or “En Vivo” tab to log in with their DIRECTV username and password.
