("Sama" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SME) is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Mr. Steven Ryan has been appointed a Director of the Company. Mr. Ryan is the Executive General Manager - Exploration of MMG Limited ("MMG"), a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 1208). He was appointed to the Executive Committee of MMG on its formation in June 2009 in the capacity of Executive General Manager - Exploration. He is also a director of a number of MMG's subsidiaries. The appointment of Mr. Ryan as a Director of Sama is subject to regulatory approval.

Mr. Ryan is a geologist with more than 25 years' international experience in the mineral exploration industry. He has managed exploration projects in Australia, Africa, China, India, Russia, Fiji and Indonesia and spent 3 years in the venture capital industry as an Investment and Business Development Manager for an international venture capital group. He has a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Geology and a Master of Business Administration in International Business.

The Company also announces the resignation of Dr. Stephen Beresford as a Director of the Company effective immediately. The Company's Board thanks Dr. Beresford for his valuable contribution as MMG's representative on Sama's Board of Directors.
