OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/01/13 -- The public warning issued on January 29, 2013 has been updated to include an additional lot number.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Riverbend Plantation Inc. are warning people with allergies to milk or hazelnuts not to consume certain Riverbend Plantation brand Saskatoon Berry Chocolate Hearts described below. The affected products contain milk and hazelnuts which are not declared on the label.
The affected products, Riverbend Plantation brand Saskatoon Berry Chocolate Hearts, are sold in the following packages bearing lot number 211:

These products have been distributed in Saskatchewan.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk or hazelnuts.
The manufacturer, Riverbend Plantation Inc., Saskatoon, SK, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
