The editorial staff of InAVate magazine has selected HDBaseT technology as the 2013 winner of the magazine’s annual InAVation Award for “Breakthrough Technology of the Year.” Representatives of the HDBaseT Alliance received the award from Editor Chris Fitzsimmons during the InAVation Awards ceremony Wednesday night at the ISE 2013 conference. The InAVation Awards recognize all that is excellent in the EMEA AV systems integration market in both technology and installation.
HDBaseT technology, powered by the Valens HDBaseT chipset, enables the delivery of uncompressed high definition video, audio, Internet, controls and power over a single cat5e/6 cable.
“This is a tremendous honor for all members of the HDBaseT Alliance who have worked so hard together to position HDBaseT as a global standard for HD digital connectivity,” said Micha Risling, marketing chair of the HDBaseT Alliance. “The HDBaseT product ecosystem features dozens of displays, projectors, and other AV components for consumer and commercial applications. That ecosystem will continue to grow throughout 2013 as current Alliance members introduce new products, and as we welcome new member companies.”
An HDBaseT-Connected World
The HDBaseT World Experience at ISE 2013 (Hall 7, Booth #7C171) will provide attendees with the opportunity to examine a large selection of new HDBaseT-enabled products from several Alliance members including Atlona, Belkin, Crestron Electronics, Emcore, Gefen, HD Connectivity, Kordz, Kramer, Orion, projectiondesign, Silver Telecom and Wyrestorm.
Founded in 2010 by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Valens, the HDBaseT Alliance promotes HDBaseT technology for whole-home and commercial multimedia distribution.
