LONDON, December 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
The best in the construction industry were recognised at the sixth Constructing Excellence National Awards in London on November 30.
The shortlisted from around the UK attended the prestigious event at London's Guoman Tower hotel on Friday night.
The winners from each of Constructing Excellence's Regional Awards were put forward for the National Awards, with 14 awards up for grabs this year.
This year's final included awards for Integration & Collaborative Working, Innovation, Sustainability, Young Achiever, Client of the Year and Project of the Year.
Chair of Constructing Excellence, Ian Reeves CBE, said: "Constructing Excellence is the only organisation committed to industry improvement which spans the whole sector. All of the national winners can be proud that they have been recognised by their peers as being the best of the best".
Winners on the night included big construction names such as Carillion Construction and Kier Construction as well as smaller, locally based companies such as Cundall from the North East and Cruden Group from the North West.
Don Ward, Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence, said: "In these difficult times for the industry, productivity improvement and efficiency have never been more important. I'm delighted to see those who are successful in doing this rewarded for their efforts".
