HOUSTON, Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Validas, a leader in mobile analytics, has announced a "Giving" campaign with Seven Bar Foundation to channel dollars overspent on wireless bills into micro-finance to empower women. "Women make up the third emerging market next to India and China and create 70% of the content on Social Media," explained Kerry Chrapliwy, Validas CMO.
Seven Bar is a non-profit that harnesses the power of luxury marketing to fuel micro-finance, empowering women out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. The Foundation connects consumer brands to influencers rooted in the mantra of "profits for purpose." "By bringing micro-finance to the Validas technology platform, VERA, together we can effect real change in the world," said Renata Mutis Black, who runs the Foundation.
As part of the "Giving" campaign, Validas and Seven Bar will re-direct the power of fashion and technology to reduce and repurpose wireless waste, which Validas estimates cost Americans over $52 billion dollars in 2012. Wireless waste is the money unnecessarily spent on unused data, texts and minutes on mobile bills.
The official campaign launches January 24th at the Ambassadors River View at the United Nations. Until then anyone can go to savelovegive.com and sign up free for VERA, and Validas will donate $3 per user, up to $100,000, to the Seven Bar Foundation.
