Wipro Technologies, the Global Information Technology, Consulting and Outsourcing business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) today announced the appointment of Avy Lim Yuen Leang as the Country Head for Malaysia. Avy will be responsible for Wipro's sales and operations in Malaysia and will report to Sameer Satpute, Head of Business Operations - ASEAN & Korea, Wipro Technologies.
"Avy brings 24 years of experience in the banking IT industry. Her extensive experience and understanding of local needs of customers in Malaysia, and the surrounding regions of APAC position her well to lead the growth in the region. Prior to joining Wipro, Avy was the Regional Head of Financial Services & Insurance for Huawei Technologies Malaysia. Before Huawei, Avy spent 5 years as the CEO of Digital China, the largest banking IT vendor in China.
