HAMBURG, Germany, November 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
The app to experience the big picture of world history on a user-friendly, easy to handle interface is now available on iPad.
LittleBIG History provides a user-friendly, easy to navigate platform for everyone interested in experiencing the big picture of world history, from the Big Bang to 2012…and beyond.
Users can browse along a timeline from the Big Bang to the present day, and follow the lifespan of people who shaped our world. Orientation is easy as the timeline zooms and an additional bar sketches current range within a larger timeframe.
All events are sorted into categories such as cosmos or humanity, allowing the user to focus on certain areas of history. Currently, the app stores 1300 events in 90 categories, and the number is growing every day.
LittleBIG History works independently of an internet connection; however, its biggest asset is its natural feel and hassle-free browsing, made possible by a user-friendly design and a specially developed data retrieval system for rapid, friction-free navigation.
"Our ambition is to allow people to see the 'big picture' of history, so we want to add more data and install interconnections to show how people and events influenced each other. We do see our app as complementary to other initiatives, such as Wikidata," says Bastian Zuehlke, co-creator and publisher.
LittleBIG History is available in English for USD 4.99 in the US, and priced accordingly in other regions. It is available worldwide in the Apple AppStore for iPad, and an Android version is in the pipeline.
