ZHONGSHAN, China, Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Limited ("Ming Yang" or "the Company") (NYSE: MY), a leading wind turbine manufacturer in China, today announced that, effective November 16, 2012, Mr. Xian Wang has resigned as a member of the Company's board of directors, for personal reasons. Mr. Wang has been a member of the board of directors since August 2010. Mr. Wang has also at the same time resigned as the senior vice president for strategic investment of the Company.

Upon the effectiveness of Mr. Wang's resignation, the Company's board of directors will consist of seven directors, including four independent directors.
