AppSense, the people-centric computing company, today announced that Ajay Arora has been named chief technology officer (CTO) of mobile. Working closely with AppSense Chief Development Officer (CDO), Keith Turnbull, Arora will be responsible for leading the continued development and implementation of the company’s overall mobile product strategy. In his new post, Arora will play a vital role ensuring AppSense meets the needs of enterprises and their employees around the world in response to the rapid growth of BYOD and the mobile workforce.
“Our acquisition of RAPsphere earlier this year enabled AppSense, through Ajay’s vision, to securely access both corporate and personal data and applications on mobile devices,” said Darron Antill, CEO of AppSense. “As AppSense continues to expand, Ajay will be a significant force in driving our current mobile strategy and in developing new products designed to solve enterprise concerns surrounding mobile device and mobile application management.”
According to Gartner, 65 percent of enterprises will adopt a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution for corporate users over the next five years. With the rapid adoption of MDM and Mobile Application Management (MAM) solutions, AppSense is in a prime position to capitalize on the mobile industry growth.
“We’re in a day and age where users are looking to access information, both personal and professional, on devices that they want to use,” said Arora, “I look forward to leading a team that will remain at the forefront of the MDM and MAM space as we drive the market to changing the way we securely consume data, independent of device.”
