Tabbedout, the free mobile payment app for iPhone and Android that allows consumers to open, view and pay tabs with their phones, has announced a customer relationship management (CRM) solution that gives merchants the information and tools they need--like access to customer preferences, the ability to send and track offers, and instant management of guest feedback--to provide the best guest experience possible. Tabbedout rolls up all of the data into one easy-to-understand dashboard that allows merchants to see the performance and value of offers programs, which can be accessed on any mobile device.
Tabbedout has been enabling consumers to open, view and pay tabs securely from their phones since 2010 through deep software integrations with all of the major hospitality point-of-sale (POS) providers. This means customers are safe from the threat of stolen payment information due to lost or forgotten cards and can open and pay their tab without handing over their payment information to a server.
Because of these unique POS integrations, Tabbedout is the only mobile payment solution that can provide both merchants and consumers with visibility into tab-level detail, like what customers are ordering at a particular bar or restaurant. Offering a CRM solution for merchants was a natural progression to the functionality of the Tabbedout platform.
“Tabbedout understands the hospitality industry and has created a tool to transform the merchant-consumer relationship for the better,” commented Nick Holland, principle analyst at The Yankee Group.
The customer relationship management solution is accessible from any mobile device. This new product gives merchants the ability to:
-
Access Customer Preferences
Merchants and their staff will have access to valuable knowledge - like whether a customer is a regular or a new customer, how much they spend on average at their venue and what they like to eat or drink. This information enables merchants to personalize the guest experience and treat each guest like a VIP. -
Manage and Respond to Feedback
Customers can provide immediate direct feedback to merchants from within the Tabbedout app. The feedback is in-context, unlike many comments on online review sites, so merchants know who, what, when, and where the customer received service. The CRM product allows merchants to respond as soon as they receive the feedback. Plus, merchants have the option to attach a special offer to smooth over a negative experience or thank someone for their positive comments. -
Reach and Reward with Offers
Merchants can segment and target their customer base however they want, whether it’s to send an offer to reward loyal customers or engage first time or lapsed customers. The Tabbedout CRM solution tracks sent and redeemed in-app offers so merchants always have an up-to-date snapshot of performance and sales.
“Merchants are already spending money on things like advertising, food and drink specials and daily deal sites in an effort to grow their business,” said Alex Broeker, president of Tabbedout. “But trying to figure out what’s working, and tracking the ROI on those investments is difficult at best. With our CRM product, merchants can see which programs are effective, target and segment offers to the guests they want to bring into their location, and personalize the guest experience like never before--things that no other mobile payment provider can offer.”
Another advantage of Tabbedout’s POS integrations is that the mobile payment and CRM platform is a simple software update to a merchant’s existing system, without the need for new hardware like a swiper, scanner or reader.
“We are the only mobile payment solution with POS integrations at the extensive level we have with each major hospitality POS provider,” said Kelly Harper, vice president of product development for Tabbedout. “Because of this, we are able to give merchants a platform that combines mobile payment and customer relationship management into one solution that seamlessly integrates with their existing systems, making it easy to install and deploy.”
