ChannelAdvisor, a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable retailers and manufacturers to increase global sales, today announced the launch of its Magento extension. Magento, an eBay Inc. company, is a leading e-commerce platform provider. The new extension, currently in beta, will provide Magento’s customers with an integration to simplify online channel expansion through ChannelAdvisor’s platform.
“Magento offers an excellent webstore platform that helps retailers grow their online businesses, and this partnership streamlines the process of implementing new commerce channels such as marketplaces, shopping sites and search engines for new and existing Magento customers,” said ChannelAdvisor Director of Business Development Jordan Weinstein. “E-commerce growth has never been easier.”
The newly developed extension between the Magento platform and the ChannelAdvisor platform enables inventory integration, which automatically pulls product data from Magento into ChannelAdvisor. This allows retailers and manufacturers using the Magento platform to easily publish listings on advertising channels such as Google and third-party marketplace sites. Sales on these transactional channels are pushed back into Magento’s platform for fulfillment, making Magento the central hub for all orders.
“Having access to ChannelAdvisor through Magento makes our lives so much easier,” said Outdoorcooking.com E-Commerce Director Craig McLaughlin. “We are able to broaden our sales channels to marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay using expert technology that ensures that our listings are optimized and visible to shoppers. Working with two of the industry’s leading platforms gives us the opportunity to really grow our business beyond what we would be capable of on our own.”
“Our partnership with ChannelAdvisor gives our retailers the opportunity to easily expand their reach beyond their webstores to increase online exposure,” said Jeff King, Head of Strategy and Partnerships for X.commerce and Magento. “ChannelAdvisor offers an excellent way for retailers to access the eBay channel and multiple other sources of demand, so I’m confident that this will be a rewarding partnership that will drive traffic and revenue for our retailers.”
