PLANO, Texas, Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Avalon Consulting, LLC, today announced the launch of ADEPTCentral, a consultancy providing Learning and Performance Management expertise to academic, corporate and government entities to increase the speed and effectiveness with which their staff react to changing business climates. Previously operating as the Learning division of award-winning Enterprise IT firm Avalon Consulting, LLC, the ADEPTCentral team has a tremendous depth of experience providing strategic planning, technology selection and implementation, instructor reskilling and classroom virtualization services, primarily in the Global 2000 and Higher Education markets. The new company features its own proven methodology, ADEPT™, which enables educators and training professionals to rapidly develop engaging and educationally sound online and blended courses.
"ADEPTCentral has been created to help organizations succeed in an increasingly dynamic, competitive environment," said Casey Green, Executive Vice President of Business Development, Avalon Consulting, LLC. "The challenges inherent to the macro-economic trends in the past five years have forced leaders in business and academia to do more with less. Avalon has been guiding our clients to success through smarter use of data via our investments in Big Data technologies and a smarter workforce via our investments in Enterprise Learning solutions. The growth of both businesses presented us with an opportunity to more specifically focus each within its domain, and led us to establish ADEPTCentral as its own company."
The ADEPTCentral team has already delivered meaningful results to a number of prestigious clients. One such client result is the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School and its Business Essentials program. The UNC Business Essentials business certificate program is a career-related program that represents more than a single course, yet less than a major or a minor. The online business certificate program is designed to provide the essential business knowledge and understanding of core business skills beneficial to anyone who has not had a formal business education. The ADEPTCentral team played a critical role in providing expertise that guided the UNC faculty and administration through unchartered territory, resulting in a highly successful delivery.
"We care deeply about the UNC Kenan-Flagler brand, the quality of our curriculum and our student experience, and needed help to translate our strengths into the virtual environment," said Susan Cates, President and Associate Dean of Executive Development, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School. "We worked with ADEPTCentral, and used its ADEPT™ Methodology to give us the expertise we needed to create UNC Business Essentials and to continue to extend our brand to new audiences."
Mark Flanagan, building on a career of successful innovation in learning solutions, joins the new company in the role of President and will be responsible for the firm's management and strategic direction. He has more than 25 years of domestic and international experience working directly with universities, corporations and government agencies, helping plan and implement innovative and effective education and training solutions. Prior to joining ADEPTCentral, Flanagan served as Senior Vice President of Distance Learning Systems and then as Chief Information Officer for Whitney International University System. He helped build an international network of universities and developed a scalable distance-learning model supporting blended and online modalities in order to achieve the company's vision of mass access to quality higher education. He led regional IT teams and was responsible for improving campus systems and infrastructure and integrating cloud-based systems and e-Learning platforms to support rapid growth and enhance student experience. Flanagan also worked as Vice President of Customer and Technology Services and Vice President of Operations with Trinity Workplace Learning for 20 years where he helped launch and build the company's technology platforms and operations teams.
"I'm thrilled to join and lead the ADEPTCentral team which has built an exceptional Learning services model and served some of the world's strongest brands," said Mark Flanagan, President, ADEPTCentral. "With the combination of this team's senior talent, a solid track record with existing clients, thought leadership through an array of proven consulting services, and my experience working directly with universities and corporations, we stand ready to make a meaningful impact on the competitiveness of our new clients."
